What We Do

Because a meeting planner cannot be everywhere to manage every aspect and every last detail of their program, there is Executive Travel Directors (ETD). ETD is a resource to the meeting planner, providing the experienced Travel Directors (TDs) needed to operate superior meetings and successful events. ETD’s Travel Directors provide logistical management for nearly every aspect of a program, allowing planners focus their efforts on the meeting’s content and with their attendees.

ETD is constantly recruiting and building its nationwide registry of professional Travel Directors. Many of our 2,000 professional Travel Directors spend more than 200 days each year on the road, working seamlessly across programs such as a business meetings in Dayton, a product roll-out in Hong Kong, or an incentive trip in Bali.

ETD All-Around Services
Most of our customers look to us to recruit, select, and manage all of the pre and post program coordination of their entire on-site Travel Director team. Taking into account a program’s specific experience, skill, and language needs, ETD selects, and the customer approves, the right TDs for the job. ETD completely manages the staffing process for the planner, confirming and preparing each TD on the program, and relaying all program changes along the way. Prior to the program, ETD issues each TDs his/her per diem, may organize TD airline travel, confirms TD program arrival, and remains in close contact with the planner to ensure all needs are met. Post program, ETD processes all TD expense reports, issues all TD payments, and sends a single invoice to the customer. Services fees and per diems are charged per day based on a graduated scale dependent upon the contracted TD’s experience level.
ETD Admin Services
Sometimes our customers may already have their program’s TD staff assembled, or may be used to directly contracting with certain TDs. In these cases, to simplify their workload, customers look to ETD to take on all of the administrative tasks tangent to the TD payments process. As such, ETD issues all per diems prior to the program, processes all expense reports, issues all TD payments within 14 days of program completion, and sends any required tax information to the TD at the end of the year. Service fees are charged as a percentage of overall TD payments with a single invoice to the customer.
ETD Planners on Demand
ETD offers “Planners on Demand” to our meeting planning customers, a service that provides contract meeting planners for distinct meeting planning assignments. Oftentimes our meeting planning customers have a need for a contract planner to assist them for a fixed period of time, to work on a specific assignment, or due to a late program sell. Many of our most experienced Travel Directors are also very experienced or certified meeting planners. We simply match the two, providing relief to our customers and planning opportunities to qualified staff members. Service fees are individually negotiated dependent upon planning requirements.
